Santa Claus is coming to town!

The Ontario Power Generation Santa Claus Parade will be held in downtown Niagara Falls tomorrow.

Elliott Gunsaro, Marketing and Communications Assistant for the Downtown Niagara Falls BIA, says there will be lots of fun for the whole family.

"We have over 80 parade entries, and we're so excited to see a diverse range of entertainer, marching bands, musical groups and dance groups. And of course, Santa Claus will be making his trip down from the North Pole to make an entrance in the parade."

Attendees will also see some of their favourite characters, including superheroes, princesses and Frosty the Snowman.

Parade goers are encouraged to bring a canned food donation for Project Share.

The parade will kick off at 4:00 p.m. at Victoria Avenue and Armoury Street.

From there, it'll head up to Valley way, turn on to Queen Street and end at City Hall for the tree lighting ceremony, which will start at 5:45 p.m.

The parade also marks the kickoff to the Niagara Falls Christmas Market, which will take place every weekend until December 18th.

Gunsaro says there will be over 400 vendors at the market, and you'll be able to watch Christmas movies on Fridays and enjoy live music on Saturdays.

The market will be open Fridays from 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon - 4:00 p.m.
