Public Health Reminding Parents to Keep Kids Up to Date on Vaccinations

Niagara Region Public Health says about 29,999 students in Niagara don't have an up to date vaccination record.

Niagara Region Public Health is asking parents to get their high schoolers up to date on their vaccinations.

The agency says about 29,000 students in the region have an out of date record.

Public Health says many students are behind on their shots due to the pandemic.

Notices have been mailed out to families of high school students with an incomplete record on file.

Parents of elementary students behind on their shots will get a notice early next year.

Kids who need additional vaccines can get one from their family doctor, a walk-in clinic, a school clinic, or through Public Health.

To book an appointment with Public Health, call 905-688-8248 ext. 7425.
