Premier Doug Ford Vows to Help Victims of Barrie Tornado

Premier Doug Ford was in Barrie today, one day after a disastrous tornado devastated a southeast neighbourhood.

Ford took a tour of the ravaged area earlier today, along with Solicitor General Sylvia Jones and Barrie Mayor Jeff Lehman.

The Premier spoke with local residents, promising Ontario would 'step in and help."

Around 2:40 yesterday afternoon, an EF-2 tornado hit the southern part of the city, producing winds up to 210 km/hr.

It caused significant damage to several homes, at least one flipped car, and a power outage for thousands of homes and businesses, but there were no fatalities.
