Port Colborne Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust

Officers seize over 480 grams of suspected fentanyl.

A Brampton man is facing drug charges after being stopped by a Port Colborne police officer.

Just before 1:00 p.m. yesterday, the officer was driving near Welland Avenue and Louis Street when they noticed a Mitsubishi Gallant parked near a suspected drug house.

Detectives say the vehicle had a Quebec license plate.

The driver saw the police cruiser and fled, making multiple turns.

The car was parked in the area of Davis Street and Killaly Street East, and the driver began to walk away.

The officer approached the motorist, and noticed their license was suspended.

A search of the driver turned up several cell phones and $634 cash.

A subsequent search of the Mitsubishi led to the seizure of 486.6 grams of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of over $145,000.

Police also found 3.4 grams of suspected cocaine, worth an estimated $350.

Facing charges is 29 year old Jammar Anthony Miller.

Anyone with information is asked to call Niagara Regional Police at 905-688-4111, extension 1003200.
