Police Seeking Suspect After Woman Kidnapped, Sexually Assaulted

Victim hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Niagara Regional Police are on the hunt for a suspect after a woman in her 20s was kidnapped and sexually assaulted.

Officers say around 7:30 p.m. on July 19th, the victim was walking in the area of Drummond Road near Highway 420 in Niagara Falls.

She was approached on foot by an unknown man driving a pickup truck, who forced her into the vehicle.

The victim was taken to an unknown place possibly in Chippawa, where she was held against her will, and physically and sexually assaulted.

The victim, who sustained visible facial injuries, was able to get away on foot.

She received help from a passing male driver, who drove her to a place of safety near Frederica Street in Niagara Falls.

As a result of the investigation, officers say they have reason to believe the unknown assailant may have been involved in a relationship with a woman - not the victim - that ended.

The suspect is described as follows:

  • Male white
  • 20s
  • Muscular build
  • Blond hair slicked back into a "man bun"
  • Green eyes
  • 5’11ft. tall
  • Clean shaven
  • Dark clothes include capri style pants

The investigation is in the early stages, and detectives are trying to identify the suspect and the male motorist who helped the woman.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009167.
