Police Seek Suspect in St. Catharines Stabbing

Female victim hospitalized with serious stab wounds.

Police are on the hunt for a suspect wanted in connection to a stabbing in St. Catharines. 

Around 6:30 AM on May 25th, officers were called to the area of Edith Street and St. Paul Street West.

A female in her teens was found suffering from a serious stab wound, and was taken to hospital. 

Officers say a female suspect fled the scene before police arrived, and has since been identified as 32 year old Samantha May Alligood. 

Alligood has significant ties to St. Catharines, particularly the Western Hill area. 

She is wanted for the following charges: 

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Uttering Threats
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order 

Alligood is described as: 

  • Female
  • Black
  • 5’5 tall
  • 150 lbs
  • Brown eyes
  • Black medium length hair
  • Tattoos:
    • Left Forearm - word - "Jay"
    • Left Wrist - Floral band
    • Right Shoulder - Music Note

Anyone who spots Alligood or knows where she is should not approach her. 

Instead, residents can provide tips to the NRPS Communications Unit at 905-688-4111, or call 911 in the event of an emergency.
