UPDATE: Wanted Man Arrested in Niagara Falls

UPDATE: A wanted man has been arrested thanks to one of the NRP’s K9 officers.

The NRP were called to a break and enter at a home in the Dawn Crescent and Fleming Drive area early Saturday morning. 

The suspect got away, but police were able to track him down to a backyard on Pamela Street thanks to Bronson the police service dog. 

The 42-year-old has been charged with break and enter to a dwelling house with intent and failing to comply with probation. 

He’s also facing the following charges in relation to the hotel robbery. 

- Robbery with firearm 

- Pointing a firearm (two counts) 

- Assault with a weapon 

- Possession of a weapon other than a restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a license 

- Fail to comply with a release order 

- Fail to comply with a probation order (two counts) 

 

The NRP is looking for a wanted man who is considered armed and dangerous. 

A 42-year-old man is wanted for several weapons-related offences after a robbery in Niagara Falls. 

Police say three men tried to force their way into a hotel room in the Kalar Road and Beaverdams Road area Sunday evening. 

The victim was not hurt and he says one of the men was carrying a gun. 

Other hotel guests became aware of the situation, so the suspects fled the scene on foot. 

Police say the men jumped a fence into a nearby backyard, where another man was playing with his children. 

The father tried to protect his kids, and one of the suspects slashed him with a knife while another pointed a gun at him. 

The suspects took off in a car and the father was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 

Officers found the car at another hotel in the Walnut Street and Ellen Ave area. 

They arrested and charged four people. 

A 19-year-old from Niagara Falls has been charged with robbery with a firearm, possession of crystal meth and possession of a weapon. 

A 32-year-old from Niagara Falls has been charged with robbery with a firearm and failing to comply with a release order. 

A 32-year-old has been charged with robbery with a firearm, disguised with intent and assault with a weapon. 

A 34-year-old has been charged with robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon and possession of crystal meth, fentanyl and cocaine. 

The 42-year-old man is wanted for robbery with a firearm, pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon other than a restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a license, failing to comply with a release order and failing to comply with probation.
