PM Order Flags on Federal Buildings Flown at Half-Mast Today

This after the remains of children found at site of residential school in B.C.

Flags are being flown at half-mast across this country to honour the lives of 215 children whose bodies were found at a residential school in Kamloops, B-C.

The remains of the children were confirmed last weekend with the help of ground-penetrating radar.

Some of the children were as young as three years old.

Niagara Falls was bathed in orange last night to honour the children and will be awash in orange light again tonight from 10:15 to 11:15.

Flags at municipal buildings across the region will also be flown at half mast

Canadians are also being asked to wear an orange shirt today and to stand for a moment of silence at 2:15 today in remembrance.

Plans are underway to bring in forensics experts to identify and repatriate the remains of the children found buried on the site.
