You'll soon have to pay for parking in St. Catharines again.
Due to the ending of the stay at home order, the City will resume paid parking at off-street lots, meter spaces and garages.
Temporary free parking was approved by council earlier this year in order to support businesses continuing to operate during the shutdown.
Free curbside parking will continue at designated spots downtown, in Port Dalhousie and on Facer Street.
Residents will be able to park for free for 15 minutes at these spots for pickup and takeout options.
You'll also have to pay to park at city beaches starting tomorrow.
Access to beaches remains free, but you'll have to pay $3.00 an hour to park your car at beach lots, as well as on the Lakeport Road meters in Port Dalhousie.
A non-extendable three hour time limit will be in place between June 2nd and September 30th.
You can apply for a Resident Beach Parking Pass, which allows for free parking with no time limit at the Lakeside Park and Sunset Beach lots.
