Over 900 Cases of COVID-19 in Niagara

Just over 900 people have now been infected with COVID-19 in Niagara since the pandemic began.

Public Health is reporting five new cases of the virus which brings our total number of active cases to 46.

Niagara-on-the-Lake still has the most active cases followed by Lincoln, Niagara Falls and St. Catharines.

Fort Erie, Port Colborne, Wainfleet and West Lincoln currently have no active cases.

We have six active outbreaks in effect across the Region and our death toll remains at 64.

Ontario is reporting over 100 new cases for the first time in just over a week with 115 new cases province-wide.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says 28 health units are reporting less than five new cases and 18 of them are reporting no new cases at all.
