Police issuing notices to protesters, warning of possible arrests.

Ottawa Police have began issuing notices to protesters continuing to demonstrate against COVID-19 restrictions in the nation's capital.

The notice advises demonstrators to leave the area immediately or face charges.

"You must leave the area now," the notice reads. "Anyone blocking streets, or assisting others in the blocking streets, are committing a criminal offence and you may be arrested. You must immediately cease further unlawful activity or you will face charges. If you are arrested you may be released on bail depending on factors contained in Part XVI of the Criminal Code."

The leaflet notes demonstrators are causing mischief, as residents are being denied use, enjoyment and operation of their property, and businesses are being forced to close.

It also warns that charges and/or convictions related to unlawful activity connected to the protests may lead to denial at the border when trying to travel to the United States.

Meanwhile, the Conservative Party says it won't support a motion to give the federal government the power to enforce the Emergencies Act.

Interim Leader Candice Bergen says there is no reason to invoke the act when local law enforcement are lifting many of the blockades.
