OHA Concerned Private Clinics Will Poach Hospital Staff

Head of Ontario Hospital Association worries government's plan to reduce the surgical backlog will result in reduced staffing for hospitals

Ontario hospitals say they're worried about the province's plan to use private clinics to address the surgical backlog.

The head of the Ontario Hospital Association says there is a concern that hospitals could lose doctors and nurses to private clinics.

Anthony Dale notes the new model of care poses many risks.

Ford says this is being done to address the backlog of surgeries brought on by the pandemic.
