NRT On Demand Service Now Available Throughout Niagara-on-the-Lake

Officials say entire town will be served by NRT OnDemand.

Good news for public transit users in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The Town and Niagara Region confirm residents in the entire municipality can now use the NRT OnDemand service.

The service was launched in November 2020 to provide shared transit to users in rural parts of West Niagara, and originally included two vehicles providing trips along Regional Road 55, including areas such as Old Town, Virgil and Glendale.

Two additional vehicles have now been added to the fleet.

In addition to the Niagara-on-the-Lake expansion, all riders can pre-book trips up to 10:00 p.m. the night before their trip using the NRT OnDemand app.

Anyone without a smartphone can pre-book a ride by calling 289-302-2172.

Riders can also choose whether they would like a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle or a vehicle with a bike rack.

Fares for adults traveling within Niagara-on-the-Lake are $3.00.

As well, anyone traveling to other Niagara communities, including Grimsby, Lincoln, Pelham, Wainfleet and West Lincoln will be charged $6.00.

Riders can travel to other municipalities by connecting to conventional NRT service at the hubs located at the Outlet Collection at Niagara or the Glendale Niagara College Campus.
