The NRPS is reassuring residents that random stops won't be conducted to determine where people are going during the lockdown.

Police say many questions have been received regarding police powers during the shutdown.

The NRPS says you don't have to worry about random vehicle or individual stops to question you about where you're going.

No one will be required to prove if they are an essential worker.

Enforcement will be complaint driven or proactive, and individuals found in violation of the Re-Opening of Ontario Act could be fined.
