There have been a number of incidents in Fonthill/Pelham
A warning from Niagara regional police to the owners of certain newer Lexus and Toyota vehicles to consider aftermarket security and tracking devices.
They say on September 26th they received four calls about theft and attempted theft in Fonthill and Pelham, usually in the early morning, and in residential driveways.
In most cases, police say the suspects broke the rear door glass which don't trigger an alarm, and over the last couple of weeks, there have been seven calls to police.
Police say most of the vehicles, targeted by organized crime and with the goal to sell them overseas, are newer Lexus SUVs, and Toyota Tundra, Highlander and Land Cruiser.
