NRP Releases Latest Impaired Driving Stats

Six individuals charged following NRP R.I.D.E. checks.

Niagara Regional Police have charged six people on impaired driving offences. 

The charges were laid during R.I.D.E. spot checks between October 25th to the 31st.

Those arrested include two people each from Welland and St. Catharines, and one individual each from Belle River and Medina, New York. 

The offenders range from 18 to 58 years old. 

Charges were laid for driving while impaired by drugs or alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, or refusing to provide a breath or blood sample.

Each person also received a 90 day license suspension. 

Anyone who spots a suspected impaired driver can contact the Niagara Regional Police Service Traffic Safety Hotline or Crime Stoppers.
