NRP Charge Two with Theft

Two men are facing break and enter charges in connection to a truck theft in Niagara Falls.

The NRP were called to the area of Victoria Avenue and Ferguson Street yesterday. 

Upon investigation, they determined that the suspects had broken into the building overnight. 

Detectives discovered that items had been taken from the building, including a Ford 350 utility pickup truck. 

Around 7:20 AM, a Grimsby police officer located the truck in Lincoln, near the intersection of Victoria Avenue and South Service Road. 

The officer pursued the truck after an attempt to pull it over failed. 

Out of concern for public safety, the officer called off the search a few minutes later. 

Police report that around 7:40 AM, a blue Chevrolet Equinox was side swiped by the truck near Victoria Avenue and South Service Road. 

The truck continued without stopping , and entered the QEW, heading towards St. Catharines. 

Just before 7:50 AM, the truck was found in St. Catharines near the intersection of Wiley Street and Dakotah Street. 

Around 8:30, the suspects were found and arrested near Hartzel Road and Queenston Street. 

The 37 and 26 year old suspects face numerous break and enter related charges.
