They're in Toronto, representing Niagara-on-the-Lake at the Rural Ontario Municipality Association Conference.

Town staff met with representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture yesterday, to talk about phragmites.

It's an invasive species, commonly found in ditches and waterways.

The town tends to have water in ditches 100 percent of the time during the year, making it hard to spray for phragmites under the Pesticides Act.

The Niagara-on-the-Lake delegation asked for the contact information of someone from the Ministry, so they can work together to get rid phragmites.

The ROMA Conference started on Sunday and wraps up today.
