In honour of Indigenous Heritage Month, Niagara Region Public Health is thanking the community partners who helped make the Indigenous specific clinics successful.
Since March 10th, there were 11 clinics in the region for Indigenous people aged 12 and older.
About 3,800 first doses and 4,000 second doses were administered at these clinics.
The province had identified the Indigenous community as a high-risk group as they have been disproportionately affected by previous pandemics.

Indigenous community members 12 and older who haven't gotten their first shot yet can book through the provincial booking portal.
In addition, Indigenous individuals can also book an accelerated second dose via the provincial booking system.
