Niagara Receives Over $8 Million From Feds For Community Projects

City of Niagara Falls to receive $750,000 for improved tennis and basketball courts.

Niagara is getting over $8 million from the federal government for community infrastructure and tourism projects. 

The announcement was made this morning in St. Catharines by MP Filomena Tassi, the minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario). 

She was joined by local MPs Chris Bittle and Vance Badawey. 

The money will be used towards 34 tourism and infrastructure projects. 

The City of Niagara Falls will get $750,000 to improve basketball and tennis courts, and the City of St. Catharines will get over $176,000 to renovate the St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre.
