The Niagara Police Services Board has elected its Board Chair and Vice-Chair.

Port Colborne Mayor Bill Steele has been named Board Chair, and Provincial Appointee Dave Eke will continue to serve as Vice Chair.

"I am honoured to continue to serve as Chair with experienced and dedicated Board Members and thank them for their confidence in me and I look forward to continuing the great work our Board performs on behalf of the citizens of Niagara", Steele notes.

Steele was elected Mayor in 2018, and is serving his first term on Regional Council.

Eke, a lifelong Niagara resident with an extensive record of community service, was appointed to the board in 2019.
