Niagara MPP's Want Pharmacies to Start Giving Shots

The province says pharmacies in virus hot spots will be the next to offer COVID-19 vaccines to people aged 60 and older.

A pilot project that saw pharmacies in Toronto, Kingston and Windsor offer the AstraZeneca vaccine this month is expected to expand to 700 sites over the next few weeks.

The hot spots next on the list are Toronto, Peel and York regions.

But Niagara's two NDP MPP's, Wayne Gates and Jennie Stevens, want the region added to the list saying some areas of our region are made up of about 50 percent seniors and it's imperative we do our part to protect them from the virus.
