Niagara Health Welcoming Visitors Back Tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, patients may have one visitor at their bedside at a time during visiting hours.

Niagara Health will begin welcoming back visitors tomorrow.

Officials say due to a reduction in COVID cases in the hospital and the community, patients staying in the hospital, coming for appointments or visiting Emergency Departments and Urgent Care Centres can have one person with them at a time.

Visiting hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

There are no restrictions on the total number of visitors per day, and children and youth can visit so long as they are able to wear a mask at all times.

Patients can also have two Essential Care Partners, but will need to coordinate with other visitors to make sure only one person is at the bedside at a time.

Visitors must pass a COVID-19 screening upon arrival, but proof of vaccination is no longer necessary.
