Niagara Health Responds to Shocking Wheelchair Video on Social Media

Niagara Health has released a statement in response to a video of a man being dumped from a wheelchair.

The video is blowing up on social media and it was filmed outside the St. Catharines hospital.

Niagara Health has issued an apology on it's Twitter page.

"We were disappointed by what we saw in this video and would like to express our sincere apologies to the individual involved and to the community."

The security officers in the video are employed by a third party company and Niagara Health officials have reached out to this company for an investigation.

"We hold our service providers accountable to our core values at Niagara Health. We are satisfied that Paladin has investigated and managed this situation appropriately, and that they are taking swift action to address this incident."

I was sent this this morning. A friend looking for advice on what to do. It happened in St. Catharines outside the hospital. I don't know the context, but either way, I don't like what I saw. I contacted the hospital for clarification on what to do, and they suggested I send it to their public relations department. I'm not sure that is the appropriate place to send it, considering it could get swept under the rug. Any advice would be appreciated.
