Niagara Falls Fire Department Station 7 Opens

It's Emergency Preparedness Week, and fittingly enough, the City of Niagara Falls has opened Fire Station 7.

It's located at 8530 Lundy's Lane on the west side of the city.

The creation of the fire station cost $7.2 million, which includes a fully equipped pumper truck.

The facility was designed by Whiteline Architects and constructed by Bromac Construction.

During each shift, there will be four firefighters and 3 fire prevention officers.

The new station is also now home to the city's Emergency Operation Centre, which provides centralized direction and coordination of emergency response efforts.
