New York State Releases Guidelines for Weddings and Catered Events

The New York State Health Department has released additional guidelines for events such as weddings.

Earlier this week, Governor Andrew Cuomo's office stated that weddings and catered events can come back on March 15th.

Venues will be allowed to host weddings and catered events at a capacity of 50 percent, with no more than 150 attendees.

Events with over 50 people must get approval from local health departments in advance.

Additionally, tables need to be at least six feet apart, and guests need to wear masks while dancing.

Unlike bars and restaurants, wedding can go past the 10:00 p.m. curfew.

Cocktail hours are allowed, but people must not eat or drink with people not in their immediate household or family.

Live performers will be required to be separated from guests by at least 12 feet or a physical barrier.
