Prices on the move upwards

Expect to take another hit at the pumps again.

Dan McTeague with Canadians for Affordable Energy says prices will  jump by two cents a litre today to $1.60.

But that‘s expected to be the tip of the iceberg, McTeague believes prices will soar tomorrow by another seven cents to $1.67 a litre.

McTeague noting it's well above the record of $1.61 per litre.

The gas expert says he is also concerned about hikes in diesel fuel which he point out drives food prices and the economy.

Diesel fuel is expected to go up 12 cents a litre this week.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has sent the price of a barrel of oil soaring to around $110.
