UPDATE: Man hospitalized After Being Shot in Fort Erie

Police are looking for a suspect after a man was shot in Fort Erie.

One person has been taken to hospital following a shooting in Fort Erie. 

Police say the incident occurred just before 11:00 a.m. today in the area of Village Creek Drive between Old Mill Road and Ott Road. 

The victim was taken to a trauma centre, and is listed in stable condition. 

Detectives confirm this was a targeted incident, and the victim and the suspect knew each other. 

The suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Aynla Mustafa Hassan of North York. 

Hassan is described as follows: 

  • Male
  •  Black
  • 190 lbs
  • 5'8"
  • Dark hair in braids
  • Wearing grey or black clothing (possible track suit)

The vehicle HASSAN is believed to be driving is as follows:

  • 2008 Chevrolet Malibu
  • Ontario Registration #CWXJ 443
  • Brown in colour
  • 4 doors

Detectives are asking anyone who lives in the Village Creek Drive area to check their CCTV footage for any suspicious activity

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the lead detective at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009525 with any relevant information. 

Hassan is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
