Less Than 600 New COVID-19 Cases in Ontario

For the second day in a row, the province is reporting less than 600 new cases of COVID-19.

The Province of Ontario is reporting 554 new COVID-19 cases and 16 deaths today.

Due to a data clean-up, 5 of the deaths reported today occurred over 2 months ago.

There were 21,840 tests conducted yesterday, and 418 of today's cases are in people who either aren't fully vaccinated or whose status isn't known. The other 136 are in people with both doses.

Throughout Ontario, there are 375 patients hospitalized with the virus, and 167 ICU patients who are testing positive for COVID-19.

Just over 21 million vaccinations have been administered, and 83.9 of eligible Ontarians have their first shot. As well, around 77.4 percent have two doses.
