Leaders of Ontario, Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick Meet to Discuss Health Care

Premiers say "Team Canada" approach is needed to fix the country's health care system.

The premiers of Ontario, New Brunswick, PEI and Nova Scotia say a "Team Canada" approach is needed to fix health care issues in Canada.

The group met today in Moncton, NB, with federal Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc.

Afterwards, they told reporters that the country's leaders need to band together to create a plan that addresses surgery backlog and emergency wait times, but no specifics on when or how that would happen were given.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford said premiers and the federal government should take ideas from health care workers and experts.

Meanwhile, New Brunswick Premier Blaine Hicks says things in health care will change, but he doesn't know what changes may take place.
