Health Minister to Provide an Update on Booster Shots Later This Week

"We are continuing with our booster dose strategy as well, we will have more to say about that with respect to age categories within the next few days."

Ontario plans to do more testing as we brace for the winter months during the COVID-19 pandemic.

An announcement on booster shots is expected this week. Premier Doug Ford says they are trying to stay on top of things.

"We have increased testing, increased tracking and tracing, the reason we were able to find the folks with the variant was because of the incredible job of the tracing team, we were able to trace it down to the people directly. We will make sure we are very cautious and enhance everything we possibly can. I spoke with the Feds and they stepped up and now they are going to increase the screening at the airports, they added three more countries to the list who not be able to visit us, at least at this time."

The Province will also start offering booster shots soon to everyone soon.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says they are still ironing out some of the details.

"We are continuing with our booster dose strategy as well, we will have more to say about that with respect to age categories within the next few days."
