ONTARIO - The Province has released guidelines for kids and adults to celebrate Halloween safely this year.
Anyone showing signs of COVID-19 is being asked to stay home on Sunday. Kids are encouraged to get out and trick or treat once again this year. The Province's top Doctor Kieran Moore released the following guidelines earlier this month.
- Trick or treating outdoors as much as possible,
- Stay home if you have symptoms,
- Build a face covering into the costume,
- Don't crowd at doors,
- Don't sing or shout for treats.
Make sure to bring some hand sanitizer with you and use it often, especially before and after handling your face covering. There is no need to clean or disinfect pre-packaged treats.
Homeowners are being asked to not hand out candy if they are showing any symptoms of COVID-19.
Some regions missed the popular tradition last year in hot spots like Toronto, Peel and Ottawa. This year every region in the Province is ready to roll out some Halloween fun.
