The Ford Government is going to invest $307-million over the next five years, to combat human trafficking.

Premier Doug Ford unveiled Ontario's new Anti-Human Trafficking Strategy in St. Catharines earlier today, at the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre.

"We must put an end to this disgusting industry and take immediate steps to keep our kids safe. Our new strategy takes strong and decisive action to support survivors, raise awareness, and give our police the tools and resources they need to put these criminals behind bars."

The strategy focuses on four key areas; raising awareness, holding offenders accountable, protecting victims/intervening early and supporting survivors.

Solicitor General Sylvia Jones, Associate Minister of Children and Women's Issues Jill Dunlop and Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff also attended the big announcement in Niagara today.
