Feds Ending Hotel Stay, Two Week Quarantine for Fully Vaccinated Canadians in July

Some good news for Canadians flying into the country.

Starting in July, those who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will not need to stay in a quarantine hotel or self-isolate for two weeks after arriving.

Health Minister Patty Hajdu made the announcement today, saying the government plans to ease restrictions in stages.

Hajdu says fully vaccinated Canadians and permanent residents will still need to take a COVID-19 test upon arrival, and remain isolated until the test comes back negative.

The plan doesn't apply to tourists, only fully vaccinated Canadian citizens traveling by air.

Meanwhile, people arriving at land borders will still need to take a COVID-19 test when entering the country, and once again during their 14 days of isolation.
