50 year old driver killed
Police, Fire and EMS called to a two vehicle crash Friday afternoon around 4:00 on Spring Creek Road at Victoria Avenue.
Police say an 80 year old woman was driving her car westbound on Spring Creek Road when her vehicle was struck in the intersection by a pickup truck driven by a 50 year old man.
As a result of the crash, the pickup then collided with a fully loaded tractor trailer operated by a 22 year old man.
The 80 year old driver was thrown from the vehicle.
She was transported to an out of region hospital with life threatening injuries.
The 50 year old male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The 22 year old sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing by detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
