Extreme Lake Effect Snow Expected for Buffalo

Weather service predicting five feet of snow starting tonight until Sunday morning.

The winter weather is also making a beeline for Buffalo. 

The snow is expected to start tonight, with up to five feet expected by Sunday morning. 

The weather service says the impact of the storm is expected to be extreme. 

Kids in Buffalo will have a snow day tomorrow, and Governor Kathy Hochul has announced a state of emergency for 11 counties. 

Travel advisories are in effect for southern Erie County. 

Meanwhile, if you have tickets for the Bills home game on Sunday, the team says the game has been moved to Ford Field in Detroit.
