DSBN Students to Learn Online in Event of Strike

DSBN planning to institute remote learning if CUPE members go on strike Monday.

Students who attend DSBN schools could be returning to remote learning next week.

The board says if CUPE members go on strike this Monday, schools will be closed to in-person classes, and online lessons will take place.

For elementary students, teachers will connect with families via email with their plans for online learning and TEAM meetings.

For kids in high school, teachers will connect with students at their normal bell times on Microsoft Teams or another platform the class uses.

Individual childcare programs will have the option to remain open.
