DSBN High School Students Returning to Four Courses a Day

Board says secondary schools will transition from two courses a day to four next week.

The DSBN says high school students will soon return to a regular semester model.

Starting this Monday, all DSBN secondary schools will transition from the current two courses per day alternating week model to four classes a day.

The board says the change was made due to staff and students following health and safety protocols such as self-screening, staying at home when sick and getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

Officials say extracurricular activities reintroduced in the fall will continue with safety measures in place.

As well, the board is encouraging staff and students to continue following safety protocols, including daily screening, and limited visitors and spectators for sports and events.

In addition, school assemblies will continue to be paused.
