Double Dosed, Plan to Travel Out of Country, Download the ArriveCan App

With travel rules changing for fully vaxed Canadians, you will need the app to prove you qualify for exemptions

Lots of questions remain about the federal government's announcement fully vaccinated Canadians can begin crossing the border July 5th without having to quarantine when they return.

The biggest question is what documents do you need to show to prove you are double dosed?

The government is directing Canadians to download its ArriveCAN app.

The app which you can download for free, is being called the first step toward a vaccine passport.

On the app you will be asked to provide details of your first and second doses including date, country and vaccine you received.

Then you will upload a photo or PDF file of the record of your vaccination from the vaccinating organization.

On its website, the government says travellers who you don't provide the required information in ArriveCAN before arriving at the border will not be considered for the quarantine exemption.

People who are not tech savvy are asked to get help from a friend or family member, but government officials say in exceptional circumstances accommodations can be made.
