City of St. Catharines Announces Lockdown Closures

In response to the province-wide lockdown, the City of St. Catharines has announced some changes and closures.

Closures will include local arenas, community centres, St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre, and the St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre.

City Hall services will continue to be available by appointment only.

In addition, farmers markets will be open on Saturdays only, with one patron allowed per vendor.

Mayor Walter Sendzik says the shutdown measures are needed in order to protect public safety.

"The shutdown measures announced by Province are a necessary measure to protect our community as COVID-19 cases have reached a crisis level in the second wave of the pandemic."
