Canadian Blood Services Reporting Critical Shortage of Several Blood Types

Canadian Blood Services experiencing shortage of A-, A+, B-, AB-, O+ and O- blood

Canadian Blood Services is asking you to give the gift of life this holiday season.

According to its website, the agency is experiencing a critical shortage of several blood types.

Canadian Blood Services says they have about three days' worth of O- and O+ blood.

It has a four day supply of B- and A+, five days' worth of A-, and six days' supply of AB-.

Blood supply is considered to be critically short when there is less than 8 days worth of inventory.
