Canada Doubles Paralympic Medal Count

Canada wins three gold, one silver and two bronze on third day of Beijing Paralympics.

It was a big day for Canada at the Beijing Paralympics. 

On the third day of competition, Canada snagged six medals. 

Snowboarder Tyler Turner won the country's first ever Paralympic snowboarding gold medal. 

As well, cross-country skiers Brian McKeever and Natalie Wilkie also turned in gold medal winning races. 

Meanwhile, Lisa DeJong won silver in the women's snowboard cross race, Brittany Hudak won bronze in the women's 15 kilometre cross country ski race, and Alpine skier Alana Ramsay also snagged a bronze. 

Canada now has four gold, two silver and six bronze Paralympic medals.
