Beach Parking Pass Applications Open in St. Catharines

St. Catharines residents can now apply for a 2021 Resident Beach Parking Pass.

The pass will allow residents to park for free at City beach lots without time limits.

This is part of the City's strategy to prevent overcrowding and illegal parking after a giant influx of visitors at City beaches last year.

Parking enforcement will step up in nearby areas, and the City has also introduced $3-per-hour paid parking at beach lots with a maximum of three hours.

Between May 1st and September 30th, Parking Where Prohibited penalties will increase from $30 to $100 in special provision areas near beaches.

Penalties for expired and over the limit meters will increase from $20 to $50.
