Bargaining Deadline Set for New CUPE Deal

Workers will hit picket lines if a deal is not reached by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Parents in Ontario are anxiously waiting to find out if kids will be in school on Monday.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees says workers will go on strike on Monday if a deal isn't reached with the province by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Several school boards, including Niagara Catholic and the DSBN will move to online learning if workers hit the picket lines.

The union says the two sides have agreed to a wage increase of 3.59 percent, but CUPE is still fighting for higher staffing levels.
