98 New COVID-19 Cases in Niagara

Niagara has 2,285 active cases of COVID-19, with St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Welland reporting the highest numbers.

There are 98 new cases of COVID-19 in Niagara today. 

Public Health says the death toll remains unchanged at 499. 

Niagara Health is reporting 96 patients with the virus, 70 of which are being treated primarily for COVID-19. 

There are 16 patients in the ICU due to COVID-19, and six are unvaccinated. 

Throughout Niagara, there are 2,285 active cases, including 735 in St. Catharines, 440 in Niagara Falls and 252 in Welland. 

There are also 25 active outbreaks. 

Over 997,000 vaccinations have been administered in the region. 

About 86.9 percent of local residents aged five and older have one shot and 82.8 percent have two.
