When you mix rain with spring-like temperatures, you can expect flooding in Niagara.
The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority has issued a water safety statement. The water levels should be going up today as the ice starts to melt. Everyone, pets included, should stay away from local streams, rivers and creeks at this time.
The flooding could begin late tonight and continue tomorrow morning in low lying areas. Drivers should avoid flooded roadways.
