Niagara Health Hosts Nursing Excellence Awards

Seventeen nurses have been honoured for their hard work. 

Niagara Health held it's annual Nursing Excellence Awards yesterday, spanning all five hospital sites.

The ceremony is always held during National Nursing Week.

The recipients are as follows;

Registered Nurse

- Debby Steele (Welland Site)

Registered Practical Nurse
- Tristen Castro (Greater Niagara General Site)
- Jeannine Russ (Welland Site)
- Ashleigh Staff (St. Catharines Site)

Advanced Practical Nursing
- Lisa Boyd (St. Catharines Site)
- Christina Huntington (St. Catharines Site)
- Mariana Pecora (Welland Site)
- Denielle Smith (Greater Niagara Site)

Rising Star
- Natalie Ferraro (St. Catharines Site)
- Nicole Perry (Welland Site)

Lifetime Achievement
- Karen Anderson (St. Catharines Site)
- Shirley Hawkey (Greater Niagara General Site)
- Maggie Holmes (Welland Site)

Teamwork and Collaboration
- Laura Farrelly (St. Catharines Site)

The Niagara Diabetes Centre nursing team was also honoured with the Teamwork and Collaboration Award.
