Fort Erie Investing Big Cash into Wayfinding Program

June 26, 2019

Fort Erie Town Council will be investing $300,000 into the Wayfinding Program.

It looks to promote the Fort Erie as it's own destination, by shining a light on local parks, trails and other hotspots.

Staff will set aside $150,000 in the 2020 budget and another $150,000 in the 2021 budget. It will cost a total of $360,000 when you take the 2019 funds into account as well.

Town staff will be taking a phased approach to the program. They will focus on parks and beaches signage this year, directional roadway signs next year and Friendship trail signage in 2021.

The theme is forest and water, so the main program colours will be black and green.
