Police believe someone used a fraudulent bank draft to buy $767,000 worth of personal protective equipment from a Niagara Falls business.
The NRP started investigating the purchase of 130,000 N95 masks and 7,500 bottles of hand sanitizer on Friday.
It eventually led officers to a warehouse in Vaughn, close the 407 Highway and Pine Valley Drive.
They were able to find most of the masks and bottles of sanitizer while searching the facility.
A 35-year-old man from Woodbridge has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should contact Niagara Regional Police by calling 905-688-4111 with extension 9076.
