ORIGINAL STORY
A vehicle fire in Grimsby has resulted in significant damage.
The blaze started around noon today on the QEW near Bartlett Road.
Deputy Fire Chief Jim Kay tells us the fire involved a tractor-trailer.
He says the rear section of the tractor-trailer was involved, but the driver was astute enough to detach the trailer.
Cleanup continues in the area, and the right lane and right shoulder remain closed.
Kay says he expects the cleanup effort will take at least a couple of hours, and may effect the commute home.
Damage to the tractor-trailer is estimated at $50,000 to $75,000.
